Jewish-Christian Relations: Contemporary (2022-2024) Challenges and Opportunities
While the last 60 years have seen undeniable progress in Jewish-Christian relations, major challenges remain. Since the Roman Catholic Church repudiated antisemitism at the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965), popes from John XXIII to Francis have sought to deepen dialogue and promote reconciliation.
A wide array of Jewish and Christian leaders, working in academic and practical interfaith settings, are working today to find common ground between both traditions and to address the persistence antisemitism in today’s world.
