Elijah Releases New Message of Friendship by Pope Francis

Along with the broader international and interreligious community, Elijah recalls with sadness and deep respect a friend of the world and a friend of Elijah’s, Pope Francis, who has completed his earthly mission. We have been blessed throughout the years to have Pope Francis take part and offer his support for Elijah projects. This is a moment for us to give gratitude and to recall those moments. It is also an occasion for us to share with our readers a video clip Pope Francis made for Elijah, that we have not yet made public.

Marsz Żywych zakończył się w byłym obozie Auschwitz II-Birkenau

24 kwietnia 2025 r. na terenie byłego niemieckiego nazistowskiego obozu koncentracyjnego i zagłady Auschwitz odbył się 32. Marsz Żywych. Na jego czele szła grupa ok. 80 Ocalałych z Auschwitz i z Holokaustu, a także prezydenci Polski i Izraela: Andrzej Duda i Isaac Herzog.
Hymn Izraela - pieśń Hatikwa (Nadzieja) - zakończył w byłym niemieckim obozie Auschwitz II-Birkenau główną ceremonię tegorocznego Marszu Żywych. Wydarzenie było wyrazem pamięci o ofiarach Holokaustu. W tym roku odbył się on w 80. rocznicę zakończenia II wojny światowej

Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Day 2025

Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Day (Yom Hashoah in Hebrew) is a national day of commemoration in Israel, on which the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust are memorialized. It is a solemn day, beginning at sunset on the 27th of the month of Nisan and ending the following evening, according to the traditional Jewish custom of marking a day. Places of entertainment are closed and memorial ceremonies are held throughout the country.

Hope - התקווה

Wszyscy mają nadzieję. Nadzieja jest obecna w sercu każdego człowieka jako pragnienie i oczekiwanie dobra, nawet jeśli nie wie, co przyniesie ze sobą jutro. Nieprzewidywalność przyszłości rodzi jednak niekiedy sprzeczne uczucia: od ufności do lęku, od pogody ducha do zniechęcenia, od pewności do zwątpienia. Często spotykamy osoby zniechęcone, które patrzą w przyszłość ze sceptycyzmem i pesymizmem, jakby nic nie mogło dać im szczęścia. Oby Jubileusz był dla wszystkich okazją do ożywienia nadziei. Słowo Boże pomaga nam znaleźć ku temu powody. Pozwólmy, aby poprowadziło nas słowo, które Apostoł Paweł napisał właśnie do chrześcijan Rzymu.

The International Council of Christians and Jews mourns the passing of Pope Francis and extends our condolences to Roman Catholics around the world.
Pope Francis championed the goals to which the ICCJ is also dedicated. Specifically, he embodied a deep commitment to Jewish-Christian relations, tri-lateral relations among Jews, Christians, and Muslims, and, more broadly, to global interfaith harmony.

Papież Franciszek nie żyje

Papież Franciszek postanowił się nie oszczędzać. Postanowił wyjść ze szpitala, gdzie z pewnością byłby bezpieczniejszy. Postanowił zacząć spotykać się z ludźmi - zauważył w TVN24 publicysta katolicki Tomasz Terlikowski, komentując informację o śmierci Ojca Świętego.
... W Paschę Chrystusa Pana śmierć zwarła się z życiem w przedziwnym pojedynku – lecz Pan żyje teraz na wieki (por. Sekwencja Wielkanocna) i zaszczepia w nas pewność, że my również jesteśmy powołani do uczestnictwa w życiu, które nie zna zachodu, w którym nie będzie już słychać szczęku broni i echa śmierci. Powierzmy siebie Temu, który jako jedyny może uczynić wszystko nowe (por. Ap 21, 5)! Z Orędzia Wielkanocnego "Urbi et Orbi' 2025

The Passover Haggadah

Each day, Jews remember in their prayers the liberation from Egypt and the promise of final redemption it represents. May this Passover mark the beginning of a new Haggadah in which the joy of a world free from captive individuals, wars, and destruction is reflected, as well as the sincere and meaningful dialogue between Christians and Jews, who share the dream of a redeemed world.
These reflections extend heartfelt greetings to the entire Catholic community, as this year they will celebrate Easter on the same days that their Jewish brothers and sisters celebrate Pesach. This coincidence serves as a reminder of a story of human redemption that has offered hope for two thousand years.

A Christian at Passover

Passover often falls within Holy Week. It can be spiritually jarring to attend services on Good Friday and then go home to a Passover Seder. But the correspondence of Passover with the gathering storm of evil that will break upon the Incarnate Lord is fitting, for the Festival of Joy celebrates the resurrection of Israel from the dead. My participation offers me a foretaste of Easter.

„Requiem” Dawida Einhorna – czytanie performatywne

Czytanie performatywne “Requiem” Dawida Einhorna z okazji 82 rocznicy wybuchu powstania w getcie warszawskim.
Niniejszy poemat został po raz pierwszy opublikowany w Warszawie w 1919 roku w gazecie „Lebns-Fragn”. Następnie jej fragmenty zostały wydane w „Arbeter-Luech” (Kalendarz robotniczy”) i „Lebns-Fragn” w 1920, pod tytułem „Dziesięć milionów”. Później – całkowicie od nowa go przerobiłem i wydłużyłem, aż przybrał obecną formę. Jest to muzyczna haskore [wspomnienie] (Requiem), składająca się z czterech części, poświęcona pamięci dziesięciu milionów ofiar [pierwszej] wojny światowej. Prosiłbym z całego serca wszystkich recytatorów i czytelników, którzy do tej pory posługiwali się starą wersją, by korzystali wyłącznie z nowego tekstu.

Ile judaizmu w Wielkanocy

Rozmawialiśmy o biblijnym Pesach, w czasie świątynnym i rozwoju tradycji sederu po zburzeniu 2 Świątyni oraz jak to dzisiaj wygląda.
Było też o różnicach w narracjach Nowotestamentalnych Paschy Jezusa i rozwoju rytuału i wokół Wielkanocy. Nie zabrakło też trudnych tematów jak antyjudaizm i jak sobie z nim radzić dzisiaj .
Rozmiawiajc o korzeniach żydowskich chrześcijańskiego rytuału i teologii to dobry sposób na przygotowanie się do przeżywania i wspólnego świętowania zbliżającego się Triduum.

Patriarchal Encyclical for Holy Pascha 2025

The Resurrection is not the remembrance of an event from the past, but the “good change” of our existence, “another birth, an alternate life, a different kind of living, the transformation of our very being.”[1] And in the Risen Christ, the entire creation is renewed together with humanity. When we chant in the 3rd Ode of the Paschal Canon, that “Now everything is filled with light—heaven, earth, and all things beneath the earth; therefore, let all creation celebrate the resurrection of Christ, in which everything has been established,” we proclaim that the universe is founded on and filled with unfading light. The phrases “before Christ” and “after Christ” ring true not only for the history of the human race, but also for the sake of all creation.
