Peace-Makers Illuminating Human Dignity

This week Fr Russ McDougall and Prof Fadwa Nadir Kirrish will be discussing Mahatma Gandhi, focusing on how his teachings on human dignity resonate with Christians and Muslims.

Moderated by Peta Jones Pellach.

Fr. Russ McDougall, C.S.C. is a Roman Catholic priest of the Holy Cross religious order. He has served in parish ministry in Nairobi, Kenya, and taught Scripture in a Catholic seminary in Jinja, Uganda. Currently he is rector of the Tantur Ecumenical Institute in Jerusalem.

Prof Fadwa Nadir Kirrish has taught for 30 years at numerous Jordanian and Palestinian universities. In 1999 she participated in the establishment of Cambridge University Alumni in Jordan and held distinguished academic and TVET plus administrative posts.

The discussion will be followed by Christian, Muslim and Jewish prayers, offered by Heather Smith, Fadwa Kirrish, and Hanna Yaffe.
