Pandemics Now and Then

The "Talmud on Stage Project" offers a very special session about pandemics from the Biblical times through the Talmudic era to our own days. The live online performance will be based on improved theater with a troupe of improv actors, including invited experts from the two faiths, and the participation of the audience.

The Talmud, the authoritative text of Jewish law, treated the Biblical texts with impressive intellectual boldness and creativity and adapted them to its then present circumstances. The Itt és Most (Right Here and Right Now) Company does the same: it reads and enacts the Talmudic stories from our perspective, while keeping the intrinsic feature of Talmudic stories, namely that one can never know where the stories start and end.

However we will kick off the performance with the question of the conference: When all this is over, how do we want the world to be different?, there is no promise for one right answer but many
