The Elijah Board of World Religious Leaders mourns the passing of former Chief Rabbi Jonathan Sacks. Rabbi Sacks has been a devoted member of the Elijah Board of World Religious Leaders for nearly 20 years. As a tribute, we would like to share some highlights of his contributions to Elijah wisdom resources.

Rabbi Sacks on Forgiveness, from our “Consider Forgiveness” series, taken in Amritsar, India, in 2007

Rabbi Sacks on the value of Friendship Across Religions, from our Make Friends Campaign

At a small gathering celebrating 19th of Kislev, the feast of redemption of Ba'al Hatanya, with non Jewish friends joining in. Finally, we would like to share a short essay written by Rabbi Sacks as a conclusion to the first project published by our think tank “The Religious Other: Hostility, Hospitality and the Hope of Human Flourishing”.

The essay is entitled "Another Voice". We offer Elaine and the entire family our condolences on the loss of Judaism’s unique and great thinker and spokesperson. His memory will live on in ways far more numerous than any of us realize at this moment.
