Institute for Polish-Jewish Studies (IPJS)

The Institute for Polish-Jewish Studies (IPJS) was established in 1984. It is a non-profit, educational institution devoted to the history and culture of Polish Jewry.

The IPJS publishes the yearbook Polin. Studies in Polish Jewry in cooperation with the Littman Library of Jewish Civilization/Liverpool University Press. It was founded by Antony Polonsky (Emeritus Professor of Brandeis University and Chief Historian of the Global Educational Outreach Programme at the Polin Museum Warsaw). He and François Guesnet (Professor of Modern Jewish History at University College London) are co-chairs of the yearbook’s editorial board.

The IPJS also hosts an annual event cycle, including the yearly conference to launch the new volume of Polin, book launches, lectures and workshops.

The IPJS is an associated institute of the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies.
