JCM In Dialogue 2027 Preparing for Peace

9 - 15 February 2027 Haus Wasserburg, Vallendar

To ask how to prepare for peace in a time of global war may seem premature. Yet, the Holy Land, sacred to Judaism, Christianity and Islam, has known conflict across the centuries but none of these religions shied away from demanding that we prepare for peace even as conflict continued.
Too often dialogue energy is consumed by the question of why, necessary, but easily trapped in retrospection or blame. How to prepare for peace is a different question. It implies agency. It demands more than words.
JCM 2027 will draw on the testimony of those who have lived through violent conflict, on established principles of peacebuilding across traditions, and on our own experience in interreligious encounter, asking what dialogue communities can offer, not only as reflection, but as genuine preparation for peace.
Our target group includes clergy, students and teachers, as well as all those interested in, and actively committed to, dialogue amongst the three Abrahamic faiths.
Our main languages are German and English (with some translations into Hebrew and Arabic). All content will be translated.
