Interfaith Prayer for Peace, Security and Human Rights

To be held on Zoom on Thursday, June 19 at 6:00 PM Prayers will be offered in Hebrew, Arabic and English, with translation into all three languages

These are terrifying days for all. The suffering and pain, experienced in all directions is reaching new heights with loss of life, insecurity and fear for the future. The future of the entire Middle East and all of its inhabitants is impacted by recent events. We need compassion, divine mercy, divine love, and -above all - a peace that only God can bring about. It is therefore a time for intensifying our prayers.

Having prayed as a community for a long time, we would like to provide an opportunity for all members of our community to offer prayers for the current situation. Given the urgency, we would like to propose a brief daily international interfaith prayer gathering, at the time we typically allot for Praying Together in Jerusalem.

As from tomorrow (Tuesday 17th June), we will hold daily gatherings of 10-15 minute open microphone prayer sessions, in which all are free to offer their prayers. We invite all friends of Elijah and all members of the Praying Together in Jerusalem movement to join us at 6 pm Israel time (11 am Eastern time)

We will not be offering teachings in this format, nor assign individuals to lead the prayer. We would like this to be something spontaneous that comes from our community and reaches out to the world, through the inherent power of prayer (and of course, with a little help from social media).

Please join us for this event and daily for our brief prayer gatherings.

The zoom link will be the same for the entire series of meetings.

All welcome.
